Matt Le Tissier

I'd say Soccer AM is miles better now than the tripe Lovejoy and his chum serve up on a sunday.
I like that a lot. From the big breakfast to soccer am, anything Lovejoy has been involved in has got worse when he’s left. He’s a decent guy

Jeff's Saturday soccer specials were excellent with the 'old team', now it's so second rate.
Michelle and Bianca are the highlights.
Ally McCoist is rubbish as are a few of the others.

It started happening before the pandemic. He was tweeting all sorts of climate change denial and conspiracy theory nonsense. Before that he was a big Brexit supporter.

Surely that's just a coincidence though 😏

Also don't forget in 2021 not only is everyone entitled to an opinion, but everyone's opinion is equally valid, regardless of facts or their level of expertise on the subject matter.

Mate of mine trained with England in the days of Gazza and LeTiz etc under Hoddle. He was a complete tub of lard and renowned for being unfit as well as being a touch loopy. Thats all.

I'm not a fan of Tim Lovejoy and I read the review of his book probably, say, at least two times a year on average but I think Martin Freeman doing that to him on his own show is a bit **** to be honest. He wore a Ramones t-shirt, so what. Freeman had nothing interesting to say about people suddenly wearing Ramones t-shirts, if he did it might've carried more weight. Instead he just made himself look like a nobhead.

I think it's alright now, not as good as back when Lovejoy was doing it, but it's still my Saturday morning TV, Bullard is decent and obviously funny!

The fact they have cut the duration, makes me think they realised it was on it's way down though and needed condensing.

I think one problem they have is, a lot of the characters of the game have gone, it's now full of non-drinking, room dwelling, Fifa playing robots, this isn't the fault of the program, it's a sign of the times and how the game has become more professional, less fun and how the players have a lot less leway. And I'm still being breastfed
"Bullard is decent and obviously funny!"

I had no idea that was obvious

I thought it was fully justified. Tim's made a living out of taking the **** out of people. Can't whine when someone gives it back to you

Did he whine about it though? Or do people who don't like Tim Lovejoy just like it because they don't like Tim Lovejoy? It's like when you hear Noel Gallagher slagging other bands or musicians off, I used to think it was funny but now I think it's a bit naff.

Maybe I'm just getting old, TBF.

Do you know what? I haven't the first clue what this is all about :)

What I have realised over the past couple of weeks - this is since I saw someone post that Lovejoy/Freeman clip online a couple of weeks back, strange how it has resurfaced really(I think Proper Mag had something to do with it) - is that Tim Lovejoy puts on an accent. There's a short interview of him on YouTube, explaining how he makes such consistently great telly and he sounds nothing like he does in his shows. There's obviously hidden depths; Lovejoy the presenter, Lovejoy the creator. Lovejoy the man, at home being the man he really is. But I never knew or even thought that he would put a voice on to go on telly. It really surprised me.

I think it's clear he doesn't like it up him. But loves to dish it out. Plus he bans co-presenters from wearing perfume/aftershave, which is just weird. I don't mind him though. Simon Rimmer however...I think his food looks crap and he's a crap presenter, so I don't really know why he's there

Does he really ban people from wearing perfume and aftershave? That's got to be made up, surely. Or did he ban that as well? B'dum dum sshhh, etc.

Don't know anything about Simon Rimmer, I think I've seen that Sunday Brunch thing about four times in the 28 years its been on. Can't remember anything that happened in any of those editions.

I'm not sure it's that clear. Re the Raymond's thing he's taken aback by it but he doesn't seem upset or anything, just falters when he realises he's been caught out. Shame it took him so long to mention his wedding, thay would have ended the mickey taking right there. Lovejoy is alright by me, I've met the bloke a few times. His TV persona is little different from real life except he's a bit more toned down and respectable but only a bit

Is he actually Welsh?

"I can't see this working... in the north."

I served Marcus Wareing a couple of times, back when I worked in a cutlery shop. He was nice and polite and knew I'd recognised him. He was the complete opposite of Jack Dee, who I served twice and caught 'doing the face' on the second time he came in, when he thought I wasn't looking. I asked if he wanted his cutlery posting out or whether he wanted me to ring him and let him know when it was ready so he could collect it. You know that face he does, the half-smile, half-grimacing, sarcastic grin thing that is supposed to imply he's much cleverer than the person standing opposite. And he was wearing an absolutely appalling hat.

I think he is, don't know anyone that doesn't to be honest and I've talked about Soccer AM on the way to matches or in the pub with various mates etc. Maybe it's just not your sense of humour, or you just don't have one?
