Does anybody else apart from me think we didn't get out of 2nd gear today on purpose . Felt like at most stages of match we were on a Sunday afternoon kick about round Stewy Park. Yes they had many chances but we just swallowed them up . They needed result much more than us. Was almost like an unexpected bonus when we scored b4 half time. We just did what we had to do today . No injuries. No massive energy release . Carrick proper in charge with these tactics . Coventry en ergy on pitch and in stands was great . Cant knock em . Quite enjoyed watching them post match celebrating like they won a cup haha while we all just buggered off without a care . Think might be a little bit different for them come week on Wednsday. Since we guaranteed our play off place its been like few weeks of pre season friendlies . Feck the results. Get everyone fit rested and sharp again . Big part of season starts on Sunday . Carrick has played a blinder . Next week from 2nd to 7th gear in 55 mins ... UTFB!!!!

So what if its The mackems in the final . Lots of us boro fans thinking of worse case scenario at Wembley . Too many thinking typical Boro to lose in final to them . Whatever the next 20 days or so holds its gonna be exciting and I'm sure as we all know the Boro , it's not gonna be the easy path. All I can say is if we already thinking mackem final. Stop s***ing yerselves. Yes worse case scenario is them beating us at Wembley but do yous think they not thinking the same ... course they are . We definitely need to up it a couple of gears, and fingers crossed Carrick has been instructing the team to play with the brakes on.
Can't afford sloppy, lethargic slow start on Sunday. Go 1 up they can't sit 5-6 men behind the ball like they did yesterday and that will suit our style of play much better.

It was a strange game. Coventry went full steam ahead in the early stages of the first half as you’d expect. We weren’t great first half but then got the equaliser at a great time.
Second half, Coventry stopped pressing us so high up the pitch. The goal completely changed the game in that respect. They looked pretty nervy for about half hour and stuck in defensively. Even during that period, we never looked to be busting a gut. We weren’t piling loads of bodies into the box, even on set pieces the CB’s stayed back quite a lot.
It very much felt like both sides were happy to see the game out. The atmosphere changed amongst the Coventry fans when news filtered through about Millwall being 4-3 down. From that moment, Coventry seemed to come out of their shell and go for it a bit more again.
In the end, no harm done and another game without injuries. Just hope we return to being back on it over the next 2 play off games. Definitely feels like we have a bit more in the locker.

We definitely will be a different and a better team on Sunday, but also think Coventry will be better they did seem to go into their she'll second half when they hard more to lose, but overall think we have a great chance of beating them and are rightly favourites to go through
They put everything into that game - players and fans. We simply didn't. Carrick is biding his time. We barely tried to attack really.
I reckon this week will be full on in training to get them back to 100%.
It's going to be a hard first 15-20 mins down there - we saw how they will start.
I really hope he brings Dijksteel back in. Smith just isn't strong or quick enough. And Jones really needs Dijksteel behind him.

No way man Smith is a much better defender I like Dijk but he is a mistake waiting to happen loses concentration too often

Smith was at fault for their goal today, so all players can lose it.
If we're going to play Jones in the play offs I'd have Dijksteel on the right. If it's McGree I'd play Smith.

yeah I just think he much more reliable and consistent Carrick obviously rates him seem to be his first choice full back and tbf he seems to know what he is doing, but I guess he had been playing consistently with Forss so maybe fair point about playing with Jones

I'd be starting Smith too, but he's been at fault for the last two goals we've conceded and he didn't cover himself in glory yesterday.
But then Dijksteel gave the ref the opportunity to send him off against Rotherham, and we probably wouldn't have conceded against them to begin with if we had 11 men.

Both the result and the performance were predictable, I expected a draw and we had no reason to go hell for leather for the win.
We'll see a very different performance next weekend for sure.
