I must have missed us spending £269m in 2017-18 season?I agree with the clubs seeming new philosophy of abandoning the reliance on loans players and looking at the longer term plan of developing our own younger players
I know most fans want to live in a cuckoo land where we can compete with relegated sides and overpay for average players, but havent we already gone down that road
or does everybody have amnesia from the last time we got relegated and spunked the equivalence of 10 years champo income on a load of overated potatoes?
We turned over £26.9m last season and spent a nett £1m on transfer fees in season 2017-18 following relegation.
11 of the last 18 clubs to have been promoted to the PL have been very reliant on loan players.
Why do we think the A league etc is a more viable option?
