Masks In The Concourse????

how about the novel idea of just not eating or drinking at the match!

just seems to be a daft way to circumnavigate wearing a mask by eating or drinking at a time when you dont really need to. Do you want to avoid getting a virus or eat food that isnt essential?

go to the cinema, just buy a big bucket of pop corn and you dont need to wear a mask

sit on a train with a coffee in your hand, dont need to wear a mask

maybe if the country didnt feel the need to eat all the time the nation wouldnt be so obese.

yes i know controversial and i will get slagged off, but here goes.

Like Chris Whitty said last night, you don’t have to be a professor of science to know mixing with large numbers of other people is not a good idea, the sensible thing would be to not open any kiosks and Marshall people straight to their seats, it will probably be all academic in a week or so anyway.

The club I'd imagine make a fair chunk of money from the concourse and whilst some people don't like it many do.

I always think it is a risk pushing your own thoughts on others because it suits you.

However, I do also agree with the above in respect of the toilet situation.

Ultimately there is no way of making the concourse area a covid safe zone so you either use it or you don't. We're all adults and we can all make independent decisions.

100% this.

Great post.

Could they not open the stalls outside from Pukka pies? On Saturday I used the dog burger van outside at Stoke rather than the inside kiosk. Made more sense to me and meant I was in the fresh air.

They should open all the doors on Saturday and let anyone that wants to go outside at half time.

They already open the doors at half time for smokers. Maybe they could leave them open for longer and before the match so people can drink outside although it would probably take more staff and there's a risk people would try and sneak in

They just need to put the low fences up - but I doubt many are going to sneak in when it's on the TV in the current climate - weather and COVID.

the one thing that the last 2 years has shown time and time again, is that there is no such thing as common sense in a collective mass of people.

I fundamentally believe that people know what the "right" thing to do is, but wilfully choose a path that is easiest for them and affect them in the least intrusive way possible in order for them to get their own way. and if anyone else gets screwed in the process, then tough luck.

These latest covid rules are an absolute farce from top to bottom, and are only designed to be this thinnest veneers of competency from an inept and corrupt government who constantly absolves itself of any responsibility and doesnt want to upset its hard core of voters by actually introducing measures that will be negatively received.

the result being we will all continue to pay the price, both figuratively and literally, for a long time to come.
