I think he’s had an ok season. He’s not the first player in fans thoughts when you think of player who have done well or players who have struggled. Just gets on with the job no matter what position and I think he looked better at LB than Friend did against Leeds. I think him and Coulson on the Left could be a good weapon in the next 10 games.
I wouldn’t be against giving Johnson a 2 year deal in the summer, he’s not flash, he’s not great , but he’s a good player who will fill in when needed he’s actually quite reliable.

Unfortunately George is finished. How many games did he get in before he was injured again, two?

Johnson and Coulson could be a decent combination down the left side if given a run.

Yeah he’s 100 percent finished. It’s worrying picking up injury after injury. I will be disappointed if he gets a new deal. Class servant and player for the boro but his times up.
 
I agree that George is at the end but I will miss his barnstorming runs down the left, almost always failing to beat the first man with a cross or blasting a shot into an area away from the goal that you thought would be impossible. He is a clever lad though and may have ambitions to coach or manage. Maybe offer him that kind of role? TBH I think he would do a better job than Woody in bringing the team together and is certainly brighter. Thought Johnson did well as they targeted him all game and he coped plus he sees a forward pass.
 
I thought he struggled early into the game, up against Ameobi.

He was getting too tight and Ameobi easily turned him a couple of times - he needed to be stronger.

He did improve in the 2nd half though.
