Marvin Johnson and George Friend

It looks like Warnock prefers Johnson. I'm still undecided personally.

Even if Johnson goes i'll always hold him in high regard for not downing tools and contributing well to us staying up in the last 9 games.

Jury is still out there for Coulson with me.

I still have high hopes for Coulson. I think what will be important for his developmemt is him nailing down one position. He was used as a LB, WB and LW last season but I think his best position is LB. This is where he was played during pre-season when he impressed, and he was doing well playing in that position earlier in the season. I feel Woodgate messed him about. After the Fulham game when he was at fault for their goal Woodgate seemed to lose confidence in him and he had a run out of the team if I remember rightly. He does need to work on the defensive side of his game, but I'm hoping Warnock will help him with that.

I wouldn't have offered Johnson another deal, I think he's poor.
A deal for George on vastly reduced terms as cover sits pretty well with me and I like seeing him at Rockliffe, he's a smashing bloke. My wife will be pleased.
But overall I'm more than happy to let Warnock just get on with it.

George was excellent at centre back in the last few games, yeah he's lost a bit of pace so left back won't suit him anymore. He reads the game well, so why not play him at centre back.

I think Johnson has been underrated. He's quick and can carry the ball, he's the best crosser at the club. He's strong and good in the air, the number of times he's popped up from nowhere at the back post to prevent a certain goal...

I've watched him quite closely and think he's decent. Warnock obviously see's it the same way. He's without doubt out performed Coulson.

I think some of you need a reality check, we ain't going to be spending very much on new signings.... Johnson's a shoo-in, get used to it

Johnson is worth offering a contract to. He's not a left back but has had to play there - going forward positive things happen when he is playing. I think there is also a bit more to come from him. He hasn't played a lot of football in the last 3 years.

Friend worth a contract still on reduced terms - useful to have around still he has slowed up a little, but to me very useful back up centre half who can still also play left back as cover.
