Martin Braithsnake - AWOL

really? I haven't seen anyone try to defend him.
I thought he should have started ahead of Gestede and Britt.. would have liked him and Bamford up top in our league smashing season..

A mate was talking to Barlaser the other week and he said the general feeling in the Boro camp was that Braithwaite came from a long line of Aliens who were first involved in building some eight sided pointy buildings that most people think was 4 sided, apparently they got upset with the king when he found out how they were to be built in future, from the top down, and so when some of their gold was interned in the first one, insisted it be relocated to Madrid by magic carpet so they could be nearer to his sister in laws mother ship. True story.

It is once again time to tell you the story of how I got blocked by Martin Braithwaite on instagram.

He posted a picture of himself in a Boro shirt and said he would ‘die for this club’

This is just after he’s had his first loan away to Bordeaux? Can’t remember. Anyway he’d been angling for a move away again and it hadn’t come.

I posted ‘no-one’s buying it mate, score a few goals and you can leave in January with our blessing’

He posted ‘You don’t know, you only see what you hear in the media and don’t see a man living his dream’

I posted ‘You literally asked to leave mate, you’ll do it again. Just score some goals for us while you’re here and you can go in January’

He blocked me. Then left that season.

Bellend.

Forgot about this story and his name came up while I was looking at our transfers out over recent years. Surprised to find out it all calmed down . following is from a press story from early Sept

---------------------
However, Braithwaite later returned to the camp, and expressed his sincere apologies to head coach Luis Garcia, his teammates and the club’s hierarchy. He has now remained at Espanyol for this season, and he will hope to fire them back up into LaLiga.

Speaking to Relevo on the Braithwaite saga, Garcia admitted that it was very easy to forgive the ex-Barcelona forward for his actions.

“It was very easy to talk to him because he is an extraordinary professional. He was re-integrated with total naturalness. It was a mistake that he made, and he acknowledged it.

“The nobility and humanity that he has made him see that he had made a mistake. Sometimes players live in a bubble, and they believe that everything they do is fine.”
---------------

I don't think us Boro fans saw much nobility and humanity . Me thinks Martin had a little realisation about how and where his money was coming in and realising his 'little trick' hadn't worked , went back to normal plan.

“Denmark striker Martin Braithwaite can leave Espanyol as a free agent in July if the club secures promotion. If they do not, the 32-year-old can leave for 600,000 euros.”(Fabrizio Romano)
