Marske United

We do they have to suddenly find £120k i.e who is it to pay, for what?
as far as i understand it from a article in the gazette i think, chairman has pulled out so clearly he was funding the overspend. They want to raise the extra through a share issue, but that takes too long to implement to satisfy league rules, hence the need to raise the cash urgently to prove to the league they can see out the season.

They had issues with the ground they were granted promotion on the basis facilities would be improved to make ground grading requirements

Darlo didnt get that privledge they were denied a place in the promotion playoffs a few seasons ago

The 120k in 8 weeks is the puzzle. Is he a Alf Duffield? i.e. puts some money in over a season and now wants it back at short notice.

I would guess every player is very much part-time below Conference North?

If they are spending more than they are getting in say by a few thousand a week, they will have release players and bring in cheaper ones and take potential relegation, but fulfil fixtures.

Different levels have different requirements. Marske actually hosted Darlo in a pre season friendly at Bedford Terrace while their ground was being upgraded in the summer.

Jason Kennedy was playing for them last time I saw them play.

Just heard that the management and players at North Shields have jumped ship. They're struggling to pay the wages and tomorrow's game has been called off.

Now they're a well established club with a long history.

Was just about to post the same. Blaming all the postponements due to wet weather recently but finances can’t be good generally for that to be the only reason.

All the more reason to support local non league football, Redcar Athletic v Guisborough Town tonight.
