Mark Robins sacked by Coventry

F*cking joke! 6 months ago, they were a wisker off beating Man Utd in FA cup semi final.
Smashed us 3-0 last week and it could have been more.
Sold all their best players, and still finished 9th last season after a poor start.
Shocking sacking.

Mad that but that's the pressures of modern day football.

Carrick now the longest serving manager in the Championship

And yet despite that defeat we are 9 places above them and yet there were still fans on here calling for a change in our manager this week. Fickle fans and fickle owners. I agree though that its is an insane decision.

Personally I think it would be AS insane for us to get rid of Carrick this season unless we fall so far away from the play-offs that we're in relegation trouble.

They have been rubbish for pretty much all of the season apart from when they easily beat us

I thought even though they won 0-3 they were pretty average, i thought it was a 50/50 game even with ten players and the reason we
lost was showing far too much respect against a team that were half decent 2 years ago

Baffled by our complete non-performances against teams like Bristol city and Coventry

Coventry owner Doug King on the decision to sack Mark Robins:

“The reason why I have made the decision is that he has dismantled the coaching staff at this football club.“I haven’t dismantled it, he has done that.“What happened is that Mark and Adi Viveash (the former first team coach) were the heart and soul of this football club, they dragged us up through the leagues and were very successful in that.“And then it just seemed that in March/April last year that something went down.“It looked like something was wrong.“I told them to take time out, go away, have a holiday and come back recharged because we have got our recruitment in order and we have got pre-season sorted.“And effectively, I had a phone call from him (Robins) about two weeks later, where he said, effectively, he could no longer work with Adi Viveash.”

So the chairman loves the assistant Adi Viveash ex Chelsea.. who he can team up with Frank Lampard?

Callum O'Hare <> Harvey Vale
Gustavo Hamer <> Jimi Tauriainen
Viktor Gyökeres <> Deivid Washington

It really does sound like Viveash was the brains but doesn't want to be a manager. Will be fascinating to see what Robins does next.
