Signed for Charlton .
Bowyer willing to give him a chance . I will be watching how he goes with interest , lots on here were happy for Boro to go for him , me included, but there must be something we don't know that puts teams off . I wish him well and hope he proves his doubters wrong .

Most assists in the EFL over the last 4 seasons. He's usually scores double figures.

You think all his hassle and bust up at posh over wanting a move to a bigger club or at least step up to champo. That's fallen on its ass😂

I'm stunned a champo side hasn't taken him. I would say he must be asking the earth but signing for Charlton sugests not.

Reports say he was on £2,500 pw at Hull , don't know if it's true , but if so , not a big risk .

Not surprised a bigger club hasn’t touched him, behaved shockingly at PBoro to stop them getting any transfer fee for him, and now he is back in league one at a much worse side which are extremely unlikely to challenge for promotion, and likely less money too

I think it wasn't all his fault at posh. He clearly threw his toys out of the pram last season and let his contract run down. Although he was on a decent contract.

That said they placed a 2mil release fee on his head with only one year left on his contract. They also rated him at 3-4mil at one point (I would say who'd pay that but we weren't far off with Johnson😂).

The posh chairman has a real talent for getting top doller for players. You look at Dwight Gayle / Tomlin / Mackail-Smith / Britt / Lewis / Tony. He's brokered some big deals over the years.

I just think he prices Maddison out of the market (originally at 3-4mil) then who'd pay 2mil last year? In the end they had to loan him to Hull to get his wage off the books.

I think he would have been pretty low risk for his possible ability and he's only penned a 1 year deal. Then again it seems Warnock does a lot of back ground checks going back years on players. So from what I here he's not the most likable type of bloke. I'm really not a fan of these 'insta' footballers (think it's my age😂'

He may have been low risk financially but who knows what other risk having a player like him in the dressing room might bring. All championship clubs have stayed away and he has gone to a Club which is in a bit of a crisis right now. He will be subject to a salary cap in League One so his attitude at Peterborough has backfired.

I guess so. I am very much a believer in the phrase 'no smoke without fire'. He's clearly been offered to clubs up and down the country by his agent and every champo club has said 'no thanks'.

To be fair Tomlin came to us with a few 'Billy big b***ks' stories. He was the main man at posh and had a contact to back it up. He was linked to clubs every window and constantly moaning about being priced out of moves.

We could do with finding one like him now👍
