Man Utd V Liverpool thread

Disappointing because I can’t see anyone catching City up.

Early days yet.

City aren't even top of the table right now, Arsenal are 2 points clear of them.

But the most likely outcome is them winning yet again.

I’ve been saying for a while that Manchester United might push for the title this season. That performance tonight only strengthens my belief.

Think Liverpool did what they could with the players they had. Liverpool’s injury list is huge.

Jota
Thiago
Kelleher
Jones
Matip
Chamberlain
Konate
Ramsay

Nunez suspended
Add to that they sold Mane too

Got my free £5 bet up for both teams to score at 13/2 - I’m happy, as is my other half as she makes her way home from the Stretford End.

Forgot Chamberlain was still there, and who is Ramsey.
Losing Mane seems to be a big loss to them going forward.

Who could ever have predicted that dropping Harry Maguire, bloody Ronaldo and one of the chuckle brothers in midfield would lead to a far better team.

They did this under Solksjaer a bit, got themselves up for the big games inbetween being dreadful the rest of the time, but fair play to Ten Hag - if they’re going to go forwards, it’ll be without those two as Maguire’s been in disastrous form for years and Ronaldo sucks the life out of the rest of the team. Bruno can’t play with Ronaldo and the rest of the forwards look much better when they’re not just serving Cristiano’s ego.

It’s a bold call dropping your captain and your megastar, shades of Gullit in the rain with Shearer seething on the bench. I think Maguire will do well to win his place back to be honest, not sure what that means for England.
