Boro have paid for the tickets our club would suffer. Man U would be happy with the outcome as they could sell to their fans instead and still make plenty of dosh.People should have Boycotted the match, the only way change will come

No. This isn't true. We have taken a gamble that our fans will travel in numbers. We didn't have any choice on pricing but wanted as many fans as possible to be able to travel. Having spoken to the club about this they had to make a pretty snap decision and felt balancing things up they had to give as many a chance as they could to part of this.Don’t forget Boro have agreed to this and will be doing very nice out if it.
Whist it's true Boro agreed. It was that or £30 for under 3kDon’t forget Boro have agreed to this and will be doing very nice out if it.
So they agreed to it then ?No. This isn't true. We have taken a gamble that our fans will travel in numbers. The club agreed to take the maximum allocation on offer to give as many fans as possible the chance to go. That does appear to be pretty obvious. If they hadn’t what an outcry there would have been.So they agreed to it then ?
I think the club are more interested in ensuring that as many boro fans can attend the match to be fair.Don’t forget Boro have agreed to this and will be doing very nice out if it.
All you’re saying is you are cynical about their motives. Ultimately fans will decide if they think it is worth paying to go to a ground we haven’t visited for years. Only thing the club is guilty of is trying to offer this to the widest number of fans they could. All I’m saying is don’t be kidded that Boro only did this with the fans in mind. I’m sure they will sell out and be quids in.

Take note, next time they come to us in the cup 48 + any year on year increase.Just been phoned by the Telegraph's north west football correspondent to comment about the £45/46 pricing of tickets at Old Trafford and the lack of generosity of concessions.
I said I expected we would sell out because these are exciting times at Boro but to charge over £15 more than the Premier maximum away tariff is appalling. Such a contrast to Crystal Palace and Hartlepool. Not wanting to compare ourselves to a club two divisions below us but these are hard times for everyone right now and for a massive club to cash in at the expense of fans in this way leaves a very bitter taste.
Anyway, he said it would only be a paragraph or so but at least give him credit for giving us some coverage.
Hopefully in the future home clubs will have to adhere to some moral pricing in the FA Cup as well as the Premier League.
My guess is that the two allocations are in different parts of the ground. 3000 in a corner behind a goal, 9000 along the side perhaps. Whatever, £45 is still a rip-off.its a strange one that the price goes up with the greater numbers at old trafford - it would be interesting to see their assessment and reasoning for such a policy, and also why the F.A. allow such a policy to be occurring in their own flagship trophy, the F.A. Cup.
true, but financially the other way is better. We get 45% (well it's 47.5% - costs) of ticket receipts as the away team.9500 at Blackburn and 3,000 for the cup tie in manchester would be better for the team.
What does this achieve? Other fans getting screwed by clubs. Won't hurt Utd in any way. We're all fans, we don't benefit from our clubs playing t*t for tat.Take note, next time they come to us in the cup 48 + any year on year increase.
what does it achieve? Man Utd fans getting more angry with their owners, more pressure on them to play ball. If they see 90% of other clubs fans paying half what they do, the pressure will mount to change policy. What does this achieve? Other fans getting screwed by clubs. Won't hurt Utd in any way. It is not fair punishing a set of fans. They don't make the rules over prices. Surely no set of fans have demonstrated as much as Man U over the years against their owners. They even set up a breakaway club.what does it achieve? Man Utd fans getting more angry with their owners, more pressure on them to play ball. It also serves as a lesson to other clubs who consider putting prices up, knowing their fans will in turn get hit in the pocket
I agree their fans have tried standing up to the owners, well some of them, but no retribution will open the opportunity for any club to raise prices in cup games when we come to town.It is not fair punishing a set of fans.
