I've seen on Twitter lately that Malcolm Christie has a new autobiography coming out. I've met Malcolm on a couple of occasions over the past few years and he's came across as a genuinely good guy, who always had time to talk football and specifically his time at Boro.

The latest interview on Tees he's just done promoting the book was pretty interesting stuff, it seems he was totally bombed out of the squad whilst injured, which in turn severely effected his mental health. The Carling Cup final in particular a real low point for him. That seemed to be pretty poor from us as a club, as I'm sure he actually scored a couple of goals to get us to that final earlier in the season?

Without his goal against Brighton we might never have had the opportunity to win the League Cup. Seeing his interview disappointing. He should have definitely been involved in the celebrations.

He was a good player and looked like he was really kicking on for a while, until the serious injuries began.

I'll never forget I think the second game for him and Riggott after we signed them both from Derby away at Sunderland when they ran riot and scored all the goals in a 3-1 win.

bitter man ..... sounds rightly so .... left in the stands at wembly win .... leg break medically handled poorly .... hope the book does well .... after Boro he went Leeds and broke his back in training ....
