Aye. What is it with us and strikers. Also, giving the captaincy to an overpriced, overpaid underperforming one who will be gone in the Summer anyway is an odd mistake to be making currently.

Akpom is gash. Then we've got Fletcher and don't think we can rely on him to be hammering them in though he's a good player and best of the bunch.

When are we finally going to bring one in who starts doing the job ffs!?

Very hard to judge given Derby spent the entire second half camped in their own half.

Not that they had to do anything else, we were that poor.
 
I'd be surprised if Fletcher coming back saved us.
It's not the same a 'force of nature' coming back in.....like a Keiffer Moore for Cardiff.
More of a feather duster.

We really need to come up with some kind of recruitment strategy sooner rather than later.
There are lots of clubs much cannier than us chasing a very limited resource.
I'm sick of us picking up the idiots that the savvier clubs won't touch.
 
Hall should have started yesterday if he was fit, especially against Gregory. We were bullied in the air for the corner they scored from and poor defending the the punt up field before they scored the second out of nothing.
 
I think we could score goals if we used the players correctly .

Howson / McNair preferably and Saville Morsy Fisher to come on if they tire
Bola and Dijksteel to join Howson and McNair when we are in possession
Tav would start every game if fit , Mendez Laing is getting fit , as is Fletcher which leaves

Britt
Tav for Akpom if fit .
Spence Coulson Johnson as wide subs , and Mendez Laing / Fletcher to come on for Akpom and Britt on 65 minutes .
It picks itself really in -fit players start the game . Or
3/5/2 if you want to change it , same players , just more offensive .

If fit the front 2 could easily be Fletcher and Mendez Laing , and Tav starts if fit .
And , meant to add , Betinelli needs dropping .

We got beat by a poor team , and not for the 1st time , we are not improving , we don't have a settled side , and we have players playing who are not 100% fit .
If your not fit , you shouldn't get in the side . It undermines the players who are fit and putting the work in in training .
Maddo could say this , but doesn't , and I understand why , he wants to stay on the good side of the management who he gets on with .
Sometimes the truth hurts .
BTW , I love Maddo , he is Boro fan , and a nice bloke , just get off the fence and tell it as it is .
