Maddo is like a broken record

What I want from co-commentator is analysis not a string of football clichés. We struggle to score goals and I would like him to explain why and how we improve that.

I agree with that, I've listened to games quite alot on the wireless and it's nice to hear a little more analysis and thoughts as to why they think a team/player is/are doing what they do.

Slaven was rubbish, he had no knowledge of the current game, a chip on his shoulder about most things and his attempts to be funny were dreadful. All the things Madison is criticized for Slaven was much worse, and at least Madison actually has a working knowledge of the modern game.

Plenty of people on this messageboard spent many hours slagging of both Brownlee and Slaven, yet now it appears that everyone loved their commentary and they could do no wrong , strange....
All opinions I guess, fair comment! Perhaps I am getting too nostalgic from the great times we had as a club under Ali on the mic ... not knocking Maddo etc at all. I did prefer the old though before Maddo and the other guy came in. Perhaps there's less than I thought who'd have felt the same.

FFS it's only radio anyway. Never mind. :D

Slaven added caustic whit yo Ali`s passion.
They won the prestigious "Sony Radio Award" and spent ten years sharing the microphone across the airwaves.
