Luongo and Morsy

How can a team with these two ‘pulling the strings’ in midfield be doing so well?

Surely Howson/Hackney/ Barlaser will outgun them in a couple of weeks?

Morsey was OK most of the time. He just had a rash steak in him where he dived in at times. He was also part of the cost cutting we were going through.

I actually think it's a "Morsy type" we're missing at the moment - he was very good without the ball, constantly pressurising the opposition midfield. We have that now to some extent (Howson probably the best example) but not at his level. Obviously our existing MF bring other traits not as present in Morsy's game but being able to control the midfield is pretty critical to how we play.,

both canny players.. Morsy was falling behind Howson and Crooks is I remember rightly.. he's better than that so we cashed in.

I did hear he was a bit ott in training and it lead to many injuries.. not sure if there is any truth in that tbh.

Luongo was brought in under Wilder's strop period.. he didn't fancy him so he wasn't played.

Both canny players
