Love this photograph

Reminds me of my younger days in Warrenby the only difference being is that we didnt have a ball,
we only ever had tins to kick around.
It seems that all my early childhood memories are in gloomy black and white and saw colour for the
first time when we arrived in Oz in 62.
You were lucky, we dreamt of having a tin to kick around.
We couldn't afford shoes so probably just as well we had no tins.
Try telling that to the kids of today.

As a young child, my son honestly thought that colour had been invented and once asked me what life was like in black and white. 🤣 🤣 🤣

That is a true story.

It's a shame we didn't know each other, you could've told him to ask me :D
Those days did seem so gloomy and dark tho.
Being so close to the works and every house having coal fires mixed in with the fog and drizzle and seemingly
everyone wearing black duffle coats and black shoes.
I don't think that I'm exaggerating too much by saying that I didn't see the sun until we arrived in Oz.🤣
