Akpom Giles Archer and Ramsey made us into a top champo side , Replacements not remotely near the quality we lost. Going to be a rough ride this season until Jan

Problem is the players mentioned have gone for over 50 million we can't really afford to replace them although definitely would be better trying to buy a few quality players than a load of average or worse players

The slump started as the back end of last season when we had the same players
No idea whats happened, but i am guessing its 95% physcological
Its the reason why teams from league 1 can get promoted and end up top 6 half way into the season in a higher league, its not because they suddenly
become far superior players

Thats right. It isn’t just this season but the last 4 or 5 games of last season. Today was the worst though. We are predictable and ponderous in our build up allowing the opposition to get back in numbers. Rodgers didn’t play well but they aren’t robots and he was far from being alone In giving a poor display. Performances like that sap confidence and dismay fans. I can see the argument for changing shape but if the players keep performing like that then results wont change no matter what formation we try. Carrick does have to take responsibility. Nobody should argue with that. He has to find the right team to execute his plan. If he cant then he has to find a different plan. We have options now.

We didn’t get Archer and Ramsey until January.
Akpom had a good season.. but we needed to concede less to win more points.
Giles was an assist king first half of the season.. he was at fault for the single goal that took us out of the playoffs.
We’ve replaced four loan players and ten fringe players.. one 19yo centre back and two 24yo left wingbacks.. no defensive midfielders.
Truth be told..
Dijksteel—McNair—Clarke—Bola
all needed to be replaced with
Cannon—Tuanzebe—Philips—Miroshi
Barlaser could have done with being changed out for a defensive midfielder (don’t rate him)
Han Nosh Massengo out of reach, priced away from Ardon Jashari, Max Bird injured.. ‘the left footed defensive midfielder’ - this seasons golden goose?
