Lopetegui to West Ham

Yeah, I don't think there was any real worry of him leaving for them anyway, but I'll be glad that the doommongers won't have any ammunition to make up rumours for a while.

Sunderland fans would riot as well.

They hate David Moyes with a passion.

Blaming him for their relegation, ignoring the fact that they'd been circling the drain for years.

Defo good news for us as I see West Ham as a realistic draw for Carrick and vice versa, if the job was still open.

They will only be rumours about Carrick if we are doing well again, last year's effort, dragging us from the abyss of Wilders turgent football, and into the playoffs, during that period he was mentioned on Talksport regularly, and constantly linked with West Ham & possibly Man Utd.

This season he has hardly got a mention on Talksport, it's all about Kieran McKenna, and if a big club comes calling for him now.

If we have a successful season next year, (playoffs or top two) then the vultures, the rumours and Talksport will start again, success often comes at a price for so-called smaller clubs,..... if the rumours start again then we are doing well again, so hey ho!!

I understand that they want to move on from Moyes who is a decent if somewhat one dimensional manager but don't get this appointment, he's not young or up and coming and has had fairly limited success despite having managed clubs with bigger access to resources than WHU, strange one for me

Moyes will have the summer off, and then a PL club in trouble in October/November will sack their manager and take Moyes, who will likely keep them up.

Probably someone like Brentford, or Forest.
