Looks like the SPL is done

Been a really entertaining game.

Celtic have been comfortably the better team, but Rangers have a slim advantage if it stays like this.

Beat Dundee and they're 2 points clear.
 
Entertaining game albeit that the standard of the football has been more Northern League than Premier League at times.

I've spent a lot of the game wondering whether the advertising boards in the corners are at an angle deliberately to reduce the space and stop Celtic's effectiveness at corners or whether they're always like that.

Another daft thing about the split is one team might end up playing more home games than away games, to avoid playing another team 3 times at home and only once away.

The problem is a 12 team league.
They used to have 10 teams and play each other 4 times, 36 games.
When they increased to 12 teams that would mean 44 games, which they thought was too many.
Wusses.

Although it does often result in a lot of '6 pointers' after the split, at both ends.

The teams do occasionally vote on continuing with the split and it always seems to be 7-5 in favour.
 
Both have the league in their own hands because Celtic still have Rangers at Celtic Park.

Yesterday showed how poor the Scottish league is though.

These are by far the two best teams in Scotland, and yet some of the defending was Sunday League standard.

However, the poor defending did make for an entertaining game.
 
it's a boring league, almost completely pointless even calling it a league because only 2 teams can and do ever win it

Might as well split it up into 2 seperate leagues, the rangers vs celtic league where they just play each other 38 times a season and let the rest
of the teams actually compete ad try and win something

As a rangers of celtic fan, why would you even celebrate a goal vs ross county or livingston etc, players on about 500 quid a week, a complete lack of sporting competition
it must get boring winning the league non stop between them as they have for the last 40 years, and we have to put up with it all again soon for the cup final , the 17th time they have
played each other this season (or it seems like it), surely winnign something constantly dilutes the value of it, its like going out on a saturday and playing bingo and winning all the time,
I really do think Celtic fans have some mental illness getting satisfaction from constantly winning the leagues and cups

They should disband it and filter into our leagues I think.
