Looks like the 3 that went up last season are coming straight back down again then

Sheffield United have been giving it a great go recently.

Had some great chances against Liverpool, might still get a point.

Would you Everton to get liquidated - and if not why not?

I don't want them to go down, and don't want them to stay up - am interested but no strong feelings either way. But if I was a fan of one of the relegated teams I'd be disappointed that they didn't take up the option to sue Everton for millions (think £300m was quoted)
I don't think I want to see any club get liquidated (except, perhaps, for two north of the border) but I'd be delighted to see Everton relegated especially given their role in establishing the Premier League and the inequalities it was set up to enforce. I also find it hilarious that their relegation is seen by some as such a potential tragedy when the three teams who they are competing against and look most likely to go down, and are the subject of this thread, have all been in the fourth division in the past forty years or so, and include one that's been down to the Conference and back, with more than one hefty points deduction, in the last thirty.

For all this talk of Luton giving it a go and being in with a chance, they'd be dead and buried if Forest and Everton had Manchester City's accountants and lawyers.

We thoroughly deserved to go down in 2017 and we had more points than Luton do at this stage.

It is a surprise. They played some really good stuff, last season. They certainly looked the more likely of the three to adapt to the Prem but have struggled from the start.
The gap between the Prem and the Championship is getting bigger, year on year.
Well it’s apparently bigger than it was last year when they all stayed up. But by the same token you’d then have to argue that the gap closed between 2022 (when two went down) and 2023 (when none did). It might be more logical to argue that one year proves very little.

Best thing for us if we are to be serious and push for promotion next year. This year the 3 relegated teams and Ipswich have been head and shoulders above
