London Tourism/Pubs/Restaurants

Might be worth looking for a London based job at the moment, think the market will change massively with wfh options.

I’d get a minimum 50% more if i was London based....

I didn't realise there was a boro link. I'll ham up my teesside accent next time I'm in!
The session IPA is 👌 and you should tell him to start doing the munchen lager again - that stuff was great!

Went to Crate as well - beer was nowhere near as good as Hither Green;)
Shame we had to leave the Brockley brewery before the band came on - they have done a fabulous job, given they are on an industrial estate next to Howdens in South London! Lovely to hear they didn’t furlough anyone - in fact took more people on for local delivery.
The unfiltered lager was delicious. Also, they have a taco car doing some lovely home cooked food.
The Munchen lager you mentioned should (he can’t be sure because he daren’t interfere with the head brewer) be back on for October.

I know London was quiet but what a shock to the senses it was getting off the train at St Pancras. Given we have been nowhere for over 6 months that you would call anything other than ‘sleepy’ - being part of a throng piling off a train and up escalators was a little unnerving.

I was in Borough Market last night and it was much busier than my previous visit. In fact we couldn't get in most places as we hadn't booked.

I went on the tube for the first time in nearly six months last week. It was a lot busier than I'd been led to believe. Not packed, but not practically empty either.

I used the tube 2 weeks ago and it was about 33% normal capacity - where I live most things are running close to normal, but when going to London it was definitely quieter than normal. I would guess over 80% of office workers are not back in their offices and there are fewer overseas visitors.

I've been in to the west end a few times in recent weeks. It's VERY quiet, although it does mean you can get into pretty much every restaurant you fancy at the moment.

If the weathers nice then most places are seating people outside which feels pretty safe. Some places (The Ivy for example) are checking temperature before they'll let you in using Ipads and if you're too hot they ask you to wait outside and test again in 10 minutes (they did to me) which is pretty reassuring.

Careful though as some of the hotels yet open yet.
