You don't realise what a precarious position you're in when your on the path up there, until you see a picture like this

Yeah thats the one.. That bit is just before you get to the Charm Bracelet coming from Saltburn. I run along that a few times a week and that section really is no wider than the footpath now, no room for any further landslip without rerouting the Cleveland Way, probably up and over Warsett Hill on the other side of the railway line. Sadly it will happen soon enough. Is that the path between Saltburn and Skinningrove?
I've been reassured that the ground under the railway line, right on the edge of the cliff, is solid rock. So shouldn't collapse. I do however get along that bit as quick as I canYeah thats the one.. Yeah lets not over rely on that assurance!! It's a fab bit of the Cleveland Way. A good mate of mine has done a lot to promote the Charm Bracelet and has slowly but surely built a cairn up alongside it over the last couple of years which only adds to how nice it is there.I've been reassured that the ground under the railway line, right on the edge of the cliff, is solid rock. AmazingHow about this beauty? By Redcar photographer, Paul Kitchener. Loved it so much I asked Paul for permission and used it as the cover shot for a book.
