9am to 4pm – Globe Theatre salvage treasures

A exhibition display of items and material salvaged during the restoration and refurbishment of the Globe Theatre. Items on display include posters and programmes which will evoke memories of the Globe as a cinema and music venue at the heart of Stockton, showing blockbuster films and attracting star names from the world of showbusiness.

Location: Fountain Court Enterprise Arcade, High Street, Stockton on Tees

10am – Who am I? – exploring family history with Martin and Julie

Local Historian Martin Peagam seeks help from Julie at Stockton Reference Library, to help him discover his family roots. Over the course of Local History Month, he chats about what he needs to do and what resources are available to help him.

11am – Middlesbrough Town Hall history

Middlesbrough Town Hall has developed a series of short films celebrating people’s unique history with Middlesbrough Town Hall and its role in the heritage of the place we all call home.

Through a series of interviews, learn more about the rich and important history of this building and its unwavering identity since the first foundation stone was laid.

Developed by Middlesbrough Town Hall in partnership with less is MORE productions and LCM media.

2pm to 2:30pm – On the High Street: from Blair’s home to Robinson’s Emporium

Eleanor Blyth and Fiona Riley of the Stockton Council Townscape Heritage Project provide an insight into one particular address on Stockton High Street and how it reflects the ever-changing nature of the High Street. They also provide a brief insight into the work being carried out and future engagement opportunities available as part of the Townscape Heritage Project.

7pm – My Boro Debut

Special Red Army TV broadcast with Dave Roberts in conversation with fans and former players interviewed for the recent book about their first games at Boro. Featuring Robert Nichols, Dana Malt and Andy Campbell.
