Living the Nomad life

A sailing series I watch on YouTube the fella who is in it spends $20,000-$30,000 a year. đź‘€
On top of the purchase price of a yacht I bet.
A lot of these people appear to me to be disaffected with their previous lives and can't adapt or don't want to. Either way makes for interesting viewing/reading.

The series I watch is very interesting. You get to see parts of the world you'd usually not get to see on the TV for example.

His current catamaran cost $500,000. He made is money in the oil industry and then decided he wanted to spend more time with his kids and bring them up themselves by homeschooling whilst sailing around the world. Sold the house, cars, everything they own and now live basically full time on the water except for the occasional trip back to America for Xmas.

I'm taking up fishing, and will get stuck into it once the guidelines allow me to wander the banks and streams of this fair isle. Hit the pub at lunchtime and the river again until the evening gloom. Now that is my idea of a getting away from it all. Still want my 'fix' of the Boro though. utb

Handline fishing in a boat off Scarborough and later off Whitby with the lads from work made my mind up never to get into a small boat again! Who knows if I hadn't groundbaited' the North Sea all those years ago what I may be doing!
