Request league cup semi to be postponed. EFL to decide. Surely they’ve got enough of a squad to play, or perhaps call back the numerous players that aren’t cup tied on loan…it’ll be off in a heartbeat.

If they have a COVID outbreak then it should be called off. The priority has to be the safety of the players, officials, supporters and staff. If they only have 3 cases and the rest of the team are posting negative tests, and the authorities are satisfied that the safety of all involved is not compromised, then it should be played.

EFL squirming with this one after the scrutiny they put us under.
Surely they cannot sanction a postponement with 3 covid positives?

It'll be postponed.

I hope it isn't, but the precedent has been set this season by other clubs.

They forced Liverpool to play with kids when they had the Club World Cup the next day, I doubt they'll do that here.

19 covid cases and that includes the manager and No2.

I'm sure it should be called off. I have no doubt we could have got some side out at Sheff UTD but would you really want too?

They are also without the ACON players and injuries/ 'other illnesses' (whatever that means😂).

The one thing about us was we declared the covid cases. I do feel clubs are abusing a covid protocol based on injuries and suspensions etc. If they genuinely have 19 covid cases then it can't go ahead.

Salah, Keita and Mane all left for Africa Cup of Nations
Not sure why that is relevant. They have known the situation regarding these players regardless of COVID. They played basically a youth team in the league cup quarter-final a few seasons ago when they played Villa when they were at the World Club tournament.

Game has been postponed until Jan 13th but Liverpool now have to play 1st leg at home instead of 2nd.
