I can't see Ashley sniffing value in what he'd have to pay for Liverpool.
Ratcliffe was in for Chelsea in the summer, so might look at Liverpool - weird if he really is a Man U fan, but its not about the football with these guys.

'attractive buy' I just don't get it, football has never been so much about throwing good money after bad. If the 'imminent sale' is true, maybe FSG have looked at the cost of rebuilding the squad & the returns & thought - not enough guaranteed profit in it, we're outta here.

They tried to put up ticket prices, fans told em to do one, they wanted a €uro $uper £eague that failed & there is always a big risk of missing out on the CL places & so money.

I think for FSG it's still too much of a sport & not enough of a franchise model they can exploit..

I'm sure some ego driven billionaire will fancy a distraction..
