Liverpool and Klopp beaten

For me it’s a number of things;

1) the self entitlement of there fans. (Fans crying in crowd after game today)
2) number of plastic fans
3) the way they think world is against them
4) love in from media
5) try to convince world they not spent anything, whist have a £60m gk etc..
6) offended by everything and ashamed of nothing

List is not exhaustive…
Can’t argue with them but I’d add:
your attitude forms when you’re a kid, loads of this group is in their 50s, and back then Liverpool always won so we always wanted someone else.

Sometimes I find the joy at Liverpool "failing" quite illogical.

Last season they were poor by their own standards and finished 5th? Loads laughed at how "poor" and aged their squad had become. Fair criticisms I suppose.

Then they were mocked in the summer as numerous attempts to rebuild the squad failed very publicly as they "embarrassed" themselves and their eventual signings were highly questioned.

With 8 games of the PL to go they were top with the Caraboa cup wonand favourites in the Europa league. That is amazing given how bad their squad was said to be as the season started.

Now, I see on social media they are being mocked because they "aren't going to win the league" (only 2pts off top) like they should have walked it or something?

Just seems to me the narrative changes regularly and to suit with previous mockings forgotten if they no longer suit.

Well exactly. I think there was a strong case for not moving him on within 6 months for that reason.

Obviously there is a risk/reward calculation to make, it's not easy - there is no guarantee he'll ever be worth much more than we sold him for.

But I'd personally would have liked to keep him to find out. He was just finding his feet and I think there was every chance we'd have got at least as much for him, if not more, in the summer or even better, 18 months time.

But easy for me to say, it's not my money!
I would have kept him as well and I still think he would have benefitted from staying and establishing himself in the championship but his head was turned and Gibson seems to like doing business with Villa so it was deemed ok.
