Live on the BBC three games in a row...

I remember seasons with half a dozen home games shown on Sky, but on terrestrial TV, this must be the only time we've had three consecutive televised games since the days of the UEFA Cup.

Did we even have three consecutive FA cup games televised when getting to the final?

When we got to the final BBC didn’t show us once except the Final itself. Sky semi final was only live game apart from final. Derby 6th round was Saturday 3 pm.

Trying to recall when all the four quarter finals started to be televised live. I do remember during the 1997 FA Cup run we played 3rd, 4th and 5th and 6th rounds on Saturday at 3 pm.

It was the game in the 4th round against Leicester when Chelsea got a late dodgy penalty which was the winner in the replay. So bad was it that it set off Danny Baker on his midweek 606 to explode into fierce invective against the referee which got him censure.
