Lewis to Ferrari

doesn’t make any sense to me whatsoever

Why would you want someone in the twighlight of his career right now, but delay it until 2025.

He has already shown he’s not on the edge with his driving as he used to be

They used to be.

People hate Red Bull now
Basically, and unsuprisingly, F1 fans tend to hate the team that gets all the favours from the FIA. For reaosns of history and branding that used to be Ferrari. No, and for no rason I can see, it's Red bull and RB that have the favour of the FIA.

Not sure I agree with this, Lewis is still on it but I do agree he is not as aggressive as he used to be in years past.

Where he has lost a step is in qualifying but I think that's down to the car more than any of his skills diminishing, he still out qualified Russell who is is no slouch last year fairly comfortably.

he finished 3rd in a god awful car, not bad I would say
I think you only have to look at the gap between himself and Russell last year to realise he's still got it. About halfway through last season Norris, Albon and Russell were doing a media thing. Norris and Albon talking about Merc struggling. Russell pipes up and says "we are second in the constructors" to which I think Albon, replies "Oh wow Lewis must be doign well then" Brutal man, burtal

Ferrari share prices rises 7% after the anouncement.

Wow, say what you like about Hamilton but he's box office. The valuation of Merc went from £400 million to £2.7 billion whilst he was there too.

Very interesting news indeed. I think it'll be a good match up if the car is any good. The amount of experience he'll bring to the team is unmeasurable & he already has a great relationship with Vasseur.

Yeah, I think Charles is the quickest qualifier on the grid but that on/over the edge style makes him very hit and miss in races.

I think Lewis will get equal treatment and expect Charles to take the qualifying battle and Lewis to win the points battle over the season.
This will be first non-Mercedes engine car he has every driven in F1 so will be interesting how that impacts things if any.

Can only think he's had a butchers at the 2024 car and isn't impressed.
Rumour has it that both drivers felt this car felt better in the sim than the previous two pre season.

Make of that what you will but think there may be more to it than just performance. Or maybe Ferrari have got on top of their gremlins and will be able to turn engine up without it popping.

Hasn't Charles got the hat trick: pole to DNS, pole to DNF and pole to DSQ?
