Lewandowski to Barca

Didn’t buying players for massive fees get them in to the financial mess they are in?

Good player but zero resale value and he must start to decline in the next year or two. Imagine his wages ain’t cheap
 
Good business by Bayern. They got the best 8 years of his career where he scored goals for fun and now at 33 years old they are going to make £42.5 million profit out of him seen as they got him on a free transfer from Dortmund.

Can't be many teams who make £42.5 million profit selling a 33 year old.

Wonder how many months it will be before they ask him to take a paycut. Last seasons signings such as Aubameyang will be getting their offers soon. I would love to see them go bankrupt. They deserve it for the way they continue to carry on.

The price of football think Barca would never go under as the bank the owe money to would have to call debt in, but due to size would be worried about back lash and loss of customers
 
Barcelona are a joke right now.

If they do implode financially, they deserve everything they get.

Not even paying their players their full wages and the signings just keep coming, but the corrupt football world has left UEFA powerless to actually enforce anything.
 
Strange as it seemed Barca were changing course when they couldn’t register players they signed, but they have sold so much of their future revenue making potential to continue to be able to sign players who will have little / no sell on value in the short term
 
Think they also refinanced and spread current debt over a longer period. This reduced the outgoings and allowed them more money to spend.

The so called fair play is dog turd. When one week they are skint and next paying Man City 50m for Torres , I think it was
 
Hmmmm perhaps the many years of being football businessmen in Barcelona should come on here and ask the carpet layers, plasterers, valet boys and benefit claimers for advice ?

Theres a rumour de Jong wont leave because hes owed 30+ million in signing fees and wages. That's the real hold up in that deal. They want to pay it off over so many years and as hes been forced out wants his money.

Absolute joke. They force players to take pay cuts and are still spending money.

What a player Lewandowski is tho
 
UEFA need to do something about Barcelona, how are they being allowed to spend this much on a contract/ this much on players when they owe so much in wages and transfer fees to others?

Only a matter of time before someone decides to get the ball rolling and try and wind them up, then they'll collapse like a house of cards.

They are essentially begging him to leave for Man Utd as they are the only team so far who have put in a concrete bid. The sale is all agreed but De Jong doesn't want to move.

I don't think he's bothered about moving to Man Utd bit. It's more I'm not moving till you pay what you owe me. The way they got him to take a paycut so they could register players with the promise that his wages would rise later to offset the paycut but now want to move him on so he never receives that money is taking the ****. Horrible club. And I have less sympathy for supporters of clubs like Barca when they vote for who is in charge. Not like some random person bought the club without their permission and got thm into this mess.

They need to stop signing players and sort out their finances rather than making their players out to be the bad guys for wanting what the club agreed to pay them. Although I don't have much sympathy for any player signing for them right now when their behaviour has been going on for a while now.

Might as well close this forum down. Hardly any of us have been involved in the football business so shouldn't be discussing anything. Also if they were that great at their job they wouldn't be billions in debt would they?
 
It is crazy, the financial fair play has long been a joke. UEFA will do nothing as It’s good for branding to have a strong Barca in the champions league.
 
Barca will be a dangerous team in La Liga next season. That attacking line up screams goals.
