Lets ignore the Hype and just enjoy some racing (hopefully) F1 returns this weekend

My eldest lad is over there for the GP at the moment. He went last year to Singapore with some mates and they loved it so all at Melbourne this week for the opening round. All of them are Kiwis, but spread around England, Europe, Australia Singaore and NZ so they are using it as a good catch up too.
And with Liam Lawson now on the grid, there's extra reason for all the Kiwi lads to get behind the race.
Me and my other lad and grandsons will be watching it all to see if we can spot any of them and enjoying the race at a time that is god for watching in NZ (normally have to get up in middle of the night so will be good to have decent watching times)

9 teams within 1 second of each other. Mclaren and Ferrari looking quickest so far. But unsure on fuel levels and power configuration. Tomorrow we should know

Good day of sport ogling on Sunday. GP breakfast, Àrse/Chels dinner, Geordies getting pumped for tea

I'm actually looking forward to this. And a none toxic conversation about the sport.

I'm a huge Lewis fan but I think this year will be struggle. I didn't think it'll be a flop, but I do think expectations are so high and Charles isn't exactly a soft touch

I think Charles will do well this season and I wouldn't put it past Ferrari to win the Constructors.

It's going to be tight at the top to start with, and then come mid-season, once teams aren't in with a shot of winning, I guess they'll just focus on 2026. I'm hoping for a great season & I think Ferrari will win it this year.

I think they might come to regret letting Sainz go. They were never going to pass up the chance of Hamilton but they had the best driver line up on the grid already and it was working so well for them last year

Yeah, and I have a feeling Sainz will prove this too. Don't get me wrong I don't think Williams will magically leap to the front but Albon and Sainz is a ridiculously strong line up for the back of the grid
