Let’s talk about the big positive from yesterday

I love how he's old school; he tots up and remembers who needs a 'reducer'. I'd always have him as the sitter,. Don't think that we need the 2 as we often line up though
 
Morsy probably benefited from a rest. In my opinion he has done well for us in most games he plays.

We are improved on last season and probably at least as good as 2018/19. Looking at our games against Cardiff and Swansea recently based on stats for goal attempts

Boro 10 Cardiff 2
Swansea 5 Boro 8

These are games against similar teams and both teams were in the play offs last season.

It is only 2 games, but recently in 2021 I can only think of the Brentford at home game where a team has outscored us on goal attempts in a league match.

the 2018/19 was built in the summer.. unlike this one
 
Bring Tav in for Saville and sign a centre forward and I think we are genuine contenders for an automatic promotion spot next year with the players we had starting and on the bench yesterday. I know it is fashionable to have a go at Bettinelli, but he's adequate in the Championship.
