Leicester stadium expansion

I always thought that Leicester was a very similar club to us in terms of size. Hard to think that they only went up in 2014.

They made some great decisions!

Of course Leicester could be back down in a few years time. They are not immune to it just because they are doing well at the moment. We spent 15 years in the Prem and were in Europe twice yet dropped out and have hardly been back. Similar for Sunderland. Leicester are not going to draw in glory supporters even when they do well either. Whilst the architecture looks great (on a computer image) I'm not sure they need the extra capacity and can see it being half empty, like Boro and Sunderland, in the long run.

Swings and roundabouts! If the stars aligned and we got promoted, got investment and a great management set up, anything is possible. I think that we are working towards that!!
BigRichard has been advocating adding the extra tier on the east stand for some time...but he is a hopeless optimist!

I think they'll see the championship again in the next 10 seasons; any club that rises that fast can fall faster in football. The fans should just enjoy the good times while they last.

I didn't think of them at all during our European adventures: around that time they enjoyed 3 seasons in the bottom half of the championship, followed by a season in which they were relegated to league 1.

They defiantly wont make the mistakes us and Sunderland did, they have a fairly young squad thats worth a fortune anyway even if they did make a few bad signings

They sell the ground out for the majority of their games anyway and have done for the last few years, would be madness not to expand at this point. It doesnt make sense not to expand when they are selling out incase they get relegated in the future

Am not sure safe standing will increase capacity - the way it is being set-up - everyone would have a seat space - just like at Spurs, where they cleverly call it safe seating.
Yeah, I realised that when I was typing. I meant limited "old school" standing.

It’s not a bad position to be in , winning a premier league title , fa cup , charity shield league cups , and playing champions league football. Then have other clubs worry that it might not last whilst they languish in the second tier playing Blackpool 🤔😬

For sure - That would do me for a lifetime. I suppose we have to look back and think "What if"?

It's not impossible but they have given themselves a great platform to stay at the top table for a very long spell.

There was a time when Blackburn had an arguably stronger platform, but that didn't last either.

I'd argue that it's easier for things to fall apart in this day and age than it was in the 90's
