It looks like a non super league premiership!
I’m looking forward to the coming season..
Chris Wilder & Leeds would be superb.

Russell Martin to Southampton and Dean Smith to continue at Leicester.. feels very much like a championship appointment.

And ?

Leeds are a much bigger city , have won more trophies hisptirically and are a sleeping giant .

Burnley have had a decent stint in the top flight due to being well run. Small club compared to Leeds though

Burnley are a prem club.. Leeds has had three seasons on the back of Bielsa now back to where they belong.

Southampton are a small club with an excellent academy.

Leicester are probably the biggest of the bunch but will have to get it spot on this summer.

Good afternoon chap.
What`s your prediction for the Tykes v Owls match?

Not in terms of fan base and infrastructure they aren’t .

Small ground, small fan base and loads of bigger neighbours around them that take up most support . Little won in their history .

Conversely , Leeds are a one city club in of the largest cities in the country . Bulk of North Yorkshire supports Leeds too (LOL at boro being a North Yorkshire club) . Large stadium and potential to be one of the biggest clubs in the country . A rich history too

Being poorly run doesn’t reflect size of club.

All relegated.

Not such the switcheroo as many are making out..

Leicester - Sheffield
Leeds - Burnley
Southampton - Luton

Similar sized clubs.. not much in it really.

Leicester should have stuck with Brendan Rodgers.. Leeds with Jesse Marsch. Southampton have been dog eggs for years now, Leeds got lucky with Bielsa.

How on earth Everton avoided the drop there I do not know. Very close and this they with be amongst the favourites to go down next season with Sheffield and Luton.

New managers?

Please please please announce Chris Wilder as the new Leeds manager.. an absolute match made in heaven!
Rogers was the architect of their demise.
No he wasn't. The father passing away and his son replacing him, plus the massive impact on their main business back in the far east meant they had to sell players and couldn't invest. The let some VERY decent players leave and barely signed anyone. Rodgers was dealt a terrible hand.
???

Whilst I appreciate the ownership desire may have changed significantly after the tragic events of 2018 Rodgers, appointed a year or so afterwards dealt a bad hand? He took them to Europe twice and won the FA Cup in the years subsequently. He certainly lost the current squad because they were badly underperforming - with Maddison, Barnes, Tielemans and Dewsbury Hall they should have been nowhere near the relegation places never mind actually relegated. Rodgers was culpable because the deterioration in performance was significant and under his stewardship.

If you’ve been in the second division for the best part of 20 years and not even sniffed a trophy in 40, sorry but you’re a small club with a big stadium. See also: Sunderland.

Leeds were good in the 70s. So were Derby and Forest. Preston and Newcastle were class in the 30s. It doesn’t make them big clubs now.

Without stating the obvious, it's critical for Leeds and Southampton to get the right managerial appointment. They will both lose their better players, but they should still have the core of a decent Championship squad. Good managers, they could do alright.

Leicester......could go either way. Burnley or Norwich. Lot of very highly paid players, lot of their top players will be off and I don't know how good their squad/reserves are. Can they step up? Their recruitment has been pretty poor over the past couple of seasons so assembling a squad built for the championship......

Bit too early to judge, but going to be another brutal season in the Championship next season.

One thing, expect Leeds to be live for 90% of their games and Sky having frequent w*nkfests over them 🤢🤢🤢
Really? I think Leeds might go either way. The way Bielsa had them playing is exhausting and it’s still pretty much his squad, which really feels like it’s at the end of its cycle.

Suspect whoever follows Klopp at Liverpool and Poch after Spurs had the same issue. That super hard pressing, overachieving intensity isn’t sustainable for long and a new manager can’t wave a wand and get it back. It needs a total rebuild.

I think Leicester will challenge and Saints mid table.

Leeds, currently, on and off the pitch are a train wreck.

IF they make a good managerial appointment AND keep the core of the squad together they will be right up there.

But the same with all clubs, far too early to say how next season will pan out. Keep some good players "should" be easily good enough top 6. Lose good players and replace with average/mercenary ones.....they will struggle.

Meant to say Leeds and Leicester for new managers, Southampton have Russell Martin. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

It seems to be the case that from the 3 relegated clubs one goes straight back up and another is in or around the play offs - most season

Southampton - I dont recall a club finishing bottom and adrift by quite a number of points then smashing the championship the next season. Yes they have good strikers but will Che Adams fancy a season in the champo? Ward Prowse will be sold and Armstrong scored 3 last season

Leicester - losing a lot of the squad for nothing and the owner doesnt seem to want to invest much but with a decent manager they could be contenders

Leeds - I fancy them to be the ones to go straight back up, although it pains me to say it

Of course Leeds are a bigger club than Burnley; however, I do not expect anyone to break the 100 points total next season, and I think the total for automatic promotion will be lower too. I'm not saying that necessarily makes the league easier.

As for the relegated team: one to go up automatically, one to make the playoff and one to miss out all together. Not sure which is which yet; Leicester's descent has been the most dramatic, and I think there's some momentum left in it.
