Leeds

Bamford most goals by a player from a promoted side since Austin for QPR six years ago.
Sorry for repeating this again, but I can't think of another player's sale being so disappointing to me. It was obvious that he had so much in his locker, he can play on both feet, come short, has pace, can run in behind and score different types of goals.

His success in the PL this season isn't a bit surprising to me, yet of all the forwards we had on our books when he left, he should have been bottom of the list to move on.

Thanks Tony, great bit of business.

The worst and most disheartening bit of 'business' in the Riverside era.

Sheff Utd had a similar start as stated ...as for PB ....he's gone , can't understand the love in ......bloke admitted he was lazy here before he left

How they got away with that back 4 is a miracle of coaching mind

Still baffles me. Anyone who knows football won’t be surprised to see what Bamford has become. Completely inexcusable from the club.

Four years later we haven’t come close to replacing him and have just missed out on our main target, James Collins.....

I thought they might, yeah. Thought they’d collapse in the second half of the season like Bielsa teams always do and playing one thousand miles an hour in a pandemic season when so many players were getting injured didn’t seem like the best idea. Bottom three were really really poor but I thought if anyone was going to get dragged into it, it might be Leeds.

That’s why Bielsa has managed Argentina and Chile and mentored Pep Guardiola, and I’m just a d*ckhead.

Remarkable what they’ve achieved with that squad. Next season’s Sheffield United is possible though.

Just watch a variety of his sublime finishes at Boro. He could do things that the other 4 forwards we had simply couldn't (Britt / Rudy / Fletcher / Braithwaite).

You look at his finishes against Ipswich / Derby (great Tomlin pass) and those two in the 3-3 against Sunderland. How pulis thought he shouldn't start in the playoffs is mind boggling and the beginning of the end for Paddy at the Boro.

I have to say that the majority of Boro fans knew he could do it in the champo. I doubt anyone can say they expected him to be such a success this season.

That's down to Bielsa and I imagine plenty of hard graft from Paddy himself. You have to remember that despite Leeds fans raving about him they also were hammering him a year ago saying he was going to cost them promotion due to so many missed chances. He's done well to come back from that👏
