Leeds Away - Reciprocal Pricing

Ticket news should be out this week or next, any word on whether we have agreed to reciprocal pricing for away fans?

Plymouth are getting charged £26 for their visit, to Leeds so that is the reciprocal in place for them.

If they offer reciprocal pricing for away fans does that mean their home prices change as well. Isn't there a rule about similar views have to be charged the same prices. Or is this something that has changed recently?

no it's £45 to sit in the same stand for home fans

They even have to pay it when the away team only takes the upper tier allowing leeds to sell the lower section to their own fans

I can't believe the Leeds fans are happy with this. I remember years ago at Ayresome Park when the Boro tried something similar but I think the football league didn't like it so it got scrapped.

But since then teams have different categories of matches with differing prices so I guess they can do what they want now.

I guess most of the Leeds fans in that same stand will be season ticket holders. If not all.

Supply and demand Leeds fans pay to join a membership scheme then enter a ballot for home tickets. I think Newcastle have a similar policy

That is two positive actions between MFC and Middlesbrough Supporters Forum this month - working on the Exeter discount and Leeds reciprocal discount.
As a forum we took a great deal of flack this season but staying in a working relationship with the football club has allowed fans to benefit as a whole. And last home match weekend members of the forum were outside the North Stand collecting for food/warm clothing/ and football boots - so again this is a small commitment to help the community and a benefit from continual working with the football club.
But saving travelling fans from paying £47 is a real relief. I hope these reciprocal deals are the way forward in this division. Leeds fans are among those calling for a Championship away price cap.

Just wanting to present a case for some positives from the forum working with the football club.

Can't fault the effort on this one, it's a boost.

I'll be going, so fair play to the club for listening to the requests.

Can see people complaining the fact boro home fans will have to pay about £4/£5 more than Leeds fans on the return leg.

It's already that way for other matches, so this is largely just benefitting away Boro fans and Leeds fans.

We're charging Leicester £31, it's up to £35 for Boro fans near them.

We're charging Preston £29, it's up to £32 for home fans.

Maybe so. Remember the rule is away fans should not pay more than home fans in the same seats. It is designed to protect away supporters from being ripped off. It is that way round, the rule desn't say home fans should not pay more than away..
Then again Leeds fans could be paying £18 more than Boro in December. We pay £29. The equivalent Leeds seats should be £47!
