League cup so unfair.

That wasn’t the point Norm and you know it wasn’t.

I made the point about few having seen Pele play many times, which they can’t have done unless they spent time in Brazil, and how Bobby Charlton wasn’t as good as Zidane or either Ronaldo. So don’t exaggerate.

In the words of Nobby, thanks 👍
Truthfully speaking, I gave up trying to get my point over to you on that thread because you weren’t prepared to listen and I certainly don’t want to start it all off again.
Your argument against Charlton was foreign fans wouldn’t have heard of him.

Maybe he wasn’t as good as Zidane or Ronaldo, but he would have certainly run them close.

"Your argument against Charlton was foreign fans wouldn’t have heard of him." - Post where I said that.

"Maybe he wasn’t as good as Zidane or Ronaldo, but he would have certainly run them close." - Which is almost exactly what I said. Glad we agree.

"I certainly don’t want to start it all off again." - It was you who decided to bring this up again, on a thread about the League Cup (!), and heavily exaggerate what the points made were. What do you get out of that?

who cares let them get on with it,
surely benefits the teams below as they have more chance of getting to that point also when the heavy hitters are not in the comp for another round or so, instead of hitting a prem team straight away, not like prem teams without that level of bye do not get there anyways lol

Terrible result all round last night - my only hope is watching the hordes of die-hard Geordies weeping into those bloody scarves having got battered by Man U in the final.

And I say that as someone who can't stand Man U.

I’d rather see Southampton whoop them in the semis!
