Whos everyone wanting to win this?

Not a big game for me personally as our game is massive and its Rangers Sunday hopefully they can lift a cup.

Work with a few Geordies though and lots of Man Utd fans(none from Manchester, unfortunately a few a from boro which does my head in). The Geordies i work with are decent blokes tbf and i think id like them to win it, however the "Geordie Nation" is absolutely Brutal and TTTV will be sickening for weeks/years to come. Tough one

Probably best off Man Utd winning it and the Saudis sell up haha

There was a thread on this yesterday, but absolutely no contest for me, I want Man Utd to win, and win big.
It's interesting how the league cup is no longer a tin pot, Mickey Mouse trophy now Newcastle are in the final.

Yeah i pulled my mate about the "mickey mouse" cup when they were in the Semi final and the flags were waving with opera music blasting........

As our lass is a long standing Stretford End season ticket holder, and she is going on Sunday, so I’ll be rooting for Man U.
She has got one of the safe standing tickets behind the goal. £40 which I thought was good value for a cup final.

Think it will be a closer game than many may imagine. Can see Newcastle getting an early goal and sitting on it. Newcastle 1-0 not a bad bet as an insurance bet should the unthinkable actually happen.

Did we get this much coverage on Tyne Tees in 1997 .. 1998 or 2004 ???

Tbf there was a Tyne Tees special on the victory parade i seem to remember

Well , we set a new precedent in 2004 . A leap year , when the 29th is on a Sunday , the matchday. Another North East team is blocked from winning this until after we next win it on Feb 29th 2032, again a Sunday and the first occurrence of this duplicity since 2004. Sorry Mags, the stars have decided what's occurring here.
