Yes it has started the precedent in the football league has now been set they just can’t afford those tests.

League one didn’t agree though and surprise surprise Sunlun was among the dissenters despite being outside the top 6

Peterborough United, Oxford United, Sunderland, Fleetwood, Portsmouth and Ipswich Town released a joint statement saying they had "no desire for voiding the season, points-per-game scenarios or letting a computer decide our footballing fate".

Not really shocking that they're objecting, they're all within 2-3 points of 2nd place and could still win promotion automatically if the league restarted.

Ipswich are the exception, but I imagine they're in quite a bit of financial trouble and still have unrealistic hopes of sneaking back in to the promotion picture.

Peterborough are the most vocally against, but that's only because they'd drop out of the play-offs if they use PPG.

Clubs are understandably going to vote based on self interest, but there are enough clubs in the league who'll only suffer by the league resuming that I think they'll still end it.

But wait. Confusion

The chairman Of Forest Green has just been on 5 Live and said a vote hasnt been taken and the clubs are not unanimous in ending the season. Think the EFL have been a bit premature or loose with their wording.

You wouldn't expect anything else really, woukd you
People will only look after their self interests, if they cancel the season those teams stay down, if they complete the season, in whatever capacity, Tey have a slim chance of going up, not losing anything by declining
