Leadbitter thanks Boro and Sunderland fans for support

Took me over 4 years to even talk of my mothers death without becoming too emotional, as time passes it gets a little easier. Happens to us all one day.

Ive had the odd whinge about RF, but it just shows what a miserably old git I can be at times. They do a lot for those that haven't food and not only support the team but show massive regard for an ex player and try to help him over a tough time.

Hats off to RF they're a blo ody good bunch to be proud of.
 
Yea they have been a credit to the club since their formation back in the dark days when a group of 10 - 50 would stand at the far corner of the south stand & whatever the result on the pitch, usually a defeat, they would continually sing for their team, great support to Grant too
 
Massive respect to Grant. Great bloke. Miss him at Boro.
Hope he can come to terms with everything. I feel he has a lot more to give football and it would be a shame if he was lost.
 
I’d echo the above top man and hope and best wishes to him and his family at this difficult time. A class act.
