LCB, 2 x CM and 2 x ST

Can't all be loans, we have Zack & Giles already... is it just 5? So some signings too. I'd go for LCB & 2-3 midfield... McAtee for me would be the 3rd, young & inexperienced though I do think he looks like he has the brain to have an impact coming on in games & as the season goes on he'd get better & better..
One, or two strikers if Akpom stays..
 
Wilder is spot on. Akpom and Watmore were weak and Watmore missed an absolute sitter. Decent forwards(please God Armstrong ) and we would have wrapped that game up in the first half. On today’s evidence, McGree isn’t the answer in midfield. We are desperate for effective forwards but what’s new!
 
Definitely missed tavs energy. Worried a little regarding Jones confidence. Seems reluctant to go and take on his man recently (which he is great at).

Lenihan exposed a few times too.

Bola definitely targeted as a weak link, everything second half down the left. Akpom showed he can do a job, but need a finisher. Lost it in midfield second half, overall a decent point imho.
 
Got Fry and Mcnair to come in...need a CM who can beat a man and two strikers. WBA players looked massive compared to ours.

Even with them 2 we still need the 5 mentioned due to a lack of depth in the squad. Couple of injuries and we will be looking at the academy players to step up.

Absolutely. Djksteel did a better job of running through midfield than..... our midfield. McGree is MILES off being a decent midfielder for us. Today he displayed a lot of the faults which have been levelled at Tavernier in the past. Woeful cross under no pressure, lightweight, not particularly aware of being closed down. And doesn't appear to possess the workrate, speed or recovery tackles which Tav made. If we do sign two capable midfielders he's going to be spending a lot of time benchwarming.

Good! At least the manager recognises the issues to address. Down to Gibbo Bausor and Scott to oblige if they are really serious about this season.

The foundations are there in this squad just need that final bit of quality to round it off to challenge

Some postive quotes in there about 2 being done this weekend so it’s probably why he was in an upbeat mood post match

Don’t think it’s harsh at all. Second half he was a liability. Never tracked back at all. You can’t carry players at this level
