The Chuba-Archer-Ramsey attack was the best strike force we've had since Hasselbaink-Viduka-Yakubu. The pace, strength and finishing was a once in a generation combination and sadly we're now seeing how hard it is to replicate. I don't blame the management, how, as a champship team, do you replace £ 50 million's worth of talent overnight? In many many it was a bit of a fluke that we had that quality of forwards in the first place. The real sadness is that I'm sure we would have signed them all if we'd have been promoted. With the best will in the world, Burnley and Sheff United are not bigger or better teams than Boro, and the Dutch league is a poor second tier in European terms
I reckon those three would have thrived in the Prem and we'd be looking at a mid-table finish. But , it was not meant to be , and I fear the Champo is much stronger this year and it will take a near miracle to make the playoffs this time, but I still keep the faith, in Carrick we trust.
