Well there you have it. Just watching the odious Richard Holden MP on BBC sticking his fingers in his ears and saying it’s still a “mid term blip”. Unbelievable.
 
Holden has been doing all the media rounds this morning. He was doing the same on Sky news earlier. Mid term Richard? You’re months away from total rout.

The Tory chair says it only looks bad due to the "high watermark" of 2021. This is going to be a funny day. The Tories are goign to HAVE to promote a terrible local council vote to distract from the even terribler by-election result.

I suspect the tragedy of the corrupt Ben Houchen keeping his Tees Valley Mayor seat, which looks inevitable, will be the only story they lead with. Long run, this might help, keep him in the spotlight and expose the Teesworks scandal

He really did. If he’s the best they can field it’s evidence of how low they have fallen. Everybody is laughing at him and he won’t have any self awareness about it. Charlie Stayt has just ripped him to shreds.
 
One of his quotes was, "a vote for Reform only helps Labour."
Hence the constant small boats/ immigration mentions.
The gammons are deserting to Reform and he knows it.

He then said Sunak still had the backing of the Tory party!

Labour lost Oldham to NOC but thats a quite a unique area in that Muslim vote appears to have been affected by the war in Gaza and a lot of misinformation has been banded around there. The "independent " muslims have taken a number of seats
