KITCHEN MAKEOVERS

Hi all - anybody had a kitchen makeover - ie, new doors, worktops etc rather than a full new kitchen??

Any recommendations in the Teesside area?

This guy has done a lot of internal joinery for me. I've not had a kitchen from him but I know he does makeovers. He's very good.

I had mine done by Kitchen Makeovers in Leeds - it's a franchised business but i had a nightmare from start to finish! My advice would be do some solid research and maybe even contact / message people who've used that company before signing up! Last thing you want is to go through what i did!

I used to have a company that did makeovers, but not in your area.

Makeovers arent cheap, depending on what you want to achieve. Most of the doors are higher quality than what you you would get from most DIY stores and builders merchants.
It depends on how good your existing cabinets are. If they are worn / mis aligned or require moving. A makeover will not really help.
Replacing work tops will often involve breaking wall tiles, also you may have problems if the replacement worktop is a different height to the one you are replacing.
Fitters would often tell me, that for them replacing the whole kitchen is far easier for them than a makeover.
