Stewart has been a long time admirer of the Nightingales. I was lucky enough to talk with the comic after a gig at the Waiting Room and he told me it had been an ambition of his to write a play around one of his early songs because of the incredible lyrics.

Loved it. So often those documents can be a cut and paste job following the same formula. This felt well thought through and original in style.
Chemistry between Lee and Lloyd was good to see (and hilarious in parts)

Haha. Great documentary but, as was pointed out in the film, based upon "unreliable memoirs" 
. The bit about the sitcom was only loosely connected to what actually happened ... and we did actually work on it for some time afterwards, though falling out in the pub was a fairly regular event. Kevin Eldon's reading of it was wide of the mark delivery-wise. It's true though that much of the funniest stuff was Swells' material.
