That true, our record last season without akpom was abysmal, i think 1 or 2 wins in the games he missed

Without a very unexpected 28 goals from Akpom, let’s be honest the club couldn’t even offload him ,we would have achieved nothing whatsoever last season . Hopefully we wouldn’t have been relegated though.
 
He will appear out of the woodwork to throw Carrick under the bus when Gibbo sacks him, and tell us how much he has always admired new head coach Steve Agnew.

I would say January was a success more down to Aaron Danks (Ramsey & Archer) rather than Carrick.

As for Kieran Scott's role at Norwich; he was the monkey whereas Stuart Webber was the organ grinder.

Agree massively with this, and I think it's a point which is regularly overlooked. Danks' Villa connections and reputation with Archer and Ramsey was key to those signings.

There is enough talent and enough endeavour to turn this around.
