Keto diet & cheat days..

I’ve been doing the keto diet for 6 weeks now every day, not really been tempted to break the diet, it’s going well

however, I’m supposed to be going to an Indian restaurant soon for a friends birthday and my favourite food has always been a vindaloo with pilau rice which I’ve sacrificed due to the diet

would it really be that bad if I had one if I get back on the diet the next day? - or will knocking myself out of ketosis for one meal not be worth it for the diet process ?

Was watching an Adam ragusea vid on YouTube where he talked about this diet. He said that most people were not eating the extreme diet that is required to achieve "ketosis" and that weight loss comes from lack of carbs.

The effectiveness of whatever diet* people are on is primarily based on the calorie intake rather than the content of the food. A curry with rice as a one off won't do any harm, have a naan bread as well.

* I'm assuming you're not following the diet to ward off epilepsy ?

Done keto before lost a good amount of weight on it too. To answer your question, you will come out of ketosis yes but as long as your in calorie deficit the days after your still gonna be losing weight so don't worry about it. Don't let your diet dictate you enjoying yourself or whatever. Just see it as treat for doing well.

Why don’t you go and tell your fancy pants Manchester City friends, maybe they’ll help.

One word of warning on Keto, is that yes it’s effective, but boy does your body punish you if you return to anything like a normal diet
