He wants to change and build a better Britain
Sounds class. Wonder why no other politicians ever thought to do that. Cheers everyone, good times are here again.
He wants to change and build a better Britain
I haven't read or heard any comments like that. What did he say exactly?I just seen an interview with him seems to be changing tack again now stating that the gvt need to go faster with the vaccine roll out. Interesting as we are one of the fastest nations in the world and have today announced they are bringing forward to July the vaccine being offered to all adults. Hard to take him seriously with comments like that.
āhard to take him seriouslyā - when the Tories have a leader like Bunter?I haven't read or heard any comments like that. What did he say exactly?

Asking for the Health Minister to go further and faster on the vaccine is not criticism.
Using a reading age is a very poor way to measure intelligence and even vocabulary. My daughter is 10 and can read and understand most of the materials I read, outside of science and computing, because she doesn't have the knowledge to understand those subjects.
As a soundbite it sounds damning, but it really isn't. Most adults, well educated or otherwise have a working vocabulary of about 4000 words. Degree educated adults will know about 40,000 words, but still have a working vocabulary of about 4,000.
A 10 year old knows about 20,000 words and has a working vocabulary of about.... 4,000 words.
There does tend to be the opinion on this board that the public are stupid, they really aren't.
Asking for the Health Minister to go further and faster on the vaccine is not criticism.
There wasn't an ounce of criticism in what he said about the vaccine rollout but it seems that folk are looking to pile on anything he says.
The vaccine rollout has been a huge success but the Government has set itself targets that means by necessity the rollout does need to go further and faster.
Currently, before the end of July the Government has committed the following vaccine numbers:-
Priority Groups 1 to 4 - 15m x 2 = 30m
Priority Groups 5 to 9 - 17m x 2 = 34m
Adults 18 - 64 - 20.8m x 1 = 20.8m
A total of 84.8m doses by the end of July.
The latest cumulative doses administered is 18.2m.
Meaning there are 66.6m doses left to administer in the next 23 weeks at an average rate of 2.9m per week.
Current weekly rate of doses administered (the last 7 days figures) = 2.6m.
So yes he is correct, the vaccine programme does need to go further and faster.

I donāt think they need to be told to go faster, they have a plan they are exceeding that plan to the extent they have brought forward their own targets meaning they must be confident of achieving it.Asking for the Health Minister to go further and faster on the vaccine is not criticism.

I have no idea, but using a reading age as proof the public is thick isn't very accurate. So you're saying the general public would get their heads round MMT?

That's very big of you mocking someone and characterising them based on their appearance.
So you've spent the last 24 hours looking for some 'incriminating' evidence on me?Borofur yesterday:

Priti Patel this morning
Priti Patel, Brexit, confusing Queen with The Who. I think someone seriously needs a taste transplant š Variety is the spice of life!! Queen are way better than The Who toofmttmboro.com

The subtle difference is that you dehumanised her as That.So you've spent the last 24 hours looking for some 'incriminating' evidence on me?
What a sad and pathetic state of affairs that it is.
There is more than a subtle difference here but I think you know that.
My opinion of Priti Patel is that she is distinctly unattractive by any measure. That's just a fact, I'm not mocking her.
Whereas your portrayal of Starmer mocks his looks, personality and general effectiveness through an unflattering caricature.
I don't really have time for you BBG so don't bother responding.
I think everyone agrees the roll out of the vaccine is a success. It therefore seems odd that he is saying they need to go faster. So you can't take him seriously because he said the rollout need to go further and faster but you don't think that they the Government need to be told that?
You seem to a have set a very high bar with Starmer but a very low one with Johnson, unsurprisingly.
