Kate, Princess of Wales - not seen this year.

Nobody was taking the p*ss out of a mother with cancer you idiot. Nobody knew that. The story got out of hand because of the way it was handled.

It was handled perfectly ok. She had an abdominal operation and would not been in public duty until April.

Queue, they’ve split up, she has bulimia, being held against her will etc etc.

If no one was questioning the original stamement she could have been left alone.

Jeez, how do you get through life being so easily offended?

I lost my wife almost three years ago, also to bowel cancer. It’s a hideous disease and I can’t help but think back to the early days of my wife’s diagnosis, the emotions we had and the hope we tried to give ourselves that maybe it would turn out ok.

My thoughts are with anyone going through similar, regardless of their social standing or position in life.
Sorry to hear of your loss, it’s an awful experience to go through, strips you of any sense of control over your reality, just sitting there listening to those words, then watching some one you love deal with what’s happening to them physically and emotionally and no ability to take control and change it for the better. I wish no one had to go through cancer and bereavement from cancer. As a widower it can make you a stronger person in some ways, but it steals a bit of your soul too. My heart breaks for your journey mate

My dad is going through it now Mary. It’s horrible to see someone you love go through it and be totally helpless.

Oops, just called you Mary there my friend 🤣
It’s Friday night, that’s my weekend name…but how did you know? 😂

I’m sorry you’ve got family fight on, the big c is a f@&er, I wish I had useful words but all I’ve got is good luck in his fight.

The stories about them splitting up started years ago, like literally about 5 years before this, and were started by people close to Rose Hanbury.

They’re independent stories/events.

Quite easily as I’m not easily offended. I found a group of men going on and on over days and days repeating conspiracy theories quite sad, now you got your answer and put ya tin foil hat away you can get on with your life instead of wasting it on the internet going down holes.

It’s easier getting through life not looking conspiracy theories… UTB

According to who? Ya mate in Mayfair?

It’s a conspiracy theory no matter what you think end of the day. As I said days ago most ppl are classed as fruit cakes for believing stuff they see online.

You haven’t covered yourself in glory on this thread. Yi haven even said u have signed up to what’s app groups about this.

I get your republican but there’s a line between interested and obsessed

Depends how you define a conspiracy theory. It’s usually stuff about the Titanic being an insurance job, or the moon landings. Not an affair in the royal family, of which there have been countless (confirmed) others.

If you think it’s just me spreading this rumour you should google her name. It’s all over the internet from publications all over the globe. It started long before this recent media frenzy, years ago, and is unrelated.

Signing up to a WhatsApp thread is no different to following this one. The nation/globe is obsessed with this family; be it positive or negative, hence why this thread was started and there’ve been so many replies. In my view it’s not a good thing.

I’m sorry that she has cancer, but I never said anything untoward about her, only her husband’s conduct, the institution and how badly they handled it from a PR perspective. Wish her well in her recovery 👍.

It was a worldwide story that everyone was gossiping about and making jokes about. There wasn’t a workplace that wasn’t talking about it. To say that it was a few people off a football forum is ridiculous. I don’t feel bad in the slightest for talking about it. Are people suggesting that you should never joke about anyone just in case they have cancer? It’s obviously sad and I hope she recovers.
That's just not true, though, is it? Everyone worldwide wasn't gossiping about this. I'm a member of a number of WhatsApp groups, some of which include people living in different countries. I can say in perfect honesty that not a single one of these groups had any discussion about Kate - no gossip, no speculation and especially not any jokes.

I haven't been in any workplaces recently (I'm retired) so I can't speak to those but in none of the social circles that I move in (friends, relatives etc) was there any speculation about her either.

The only place that I've taken part in any conversation where speculation about Kate was involved, has been in this thread right here, which I'm pretty sure is not representative of everyone in the world.

Well twitter / X is ablaze with the conspiracy loons / anti vaxxers saying that Kate, Charles and Fergie all have turbo cancer from the jabs. Most not quite remembering they were the same people that were saying the Royal family all got placebos or nothing at all as they are the elite.

It shows who the weak minded buffoons are.

Anybody who reads Twitter and starts to repeat stories on there as potentially true are probably fools. The place is a cess pit of innuendo, lies, blatant untruths, mischevious propaganda and bullschit.

It’s never been discussed at my work.

I think humour is a good with that right intent and context, even when life can be in a dark place

Before the news came out, I wish her well and hope she makes a full recovery.

I couldn’t help but think ‘who’s arsed?’

They’re just people.

Were any of you genuinely sitting at home worried because you hadn’t seen the princess in a while?
